On October 22, ÍøÆØÃÅ joined in a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of the new Delaware Valley Hospital Medical Neighborhood project.

ÍøÆØÃÅ Chairman and CEO spoke at the event, highlighting the long-term partnership between ÍøÆØÃÅ and UHS and the significant impact the project will have on the community. ÍøÆØÃÅ Vice President Adam Green also attended, along with members of the project team.

ÍøÆØÃÅ is serving as agency CM on the project through its Binghamton office. Once complete, the new four-story addition will bring multiple hospital services together in one central location.

The completed facility features maker space, builder labs, an active learning classroom, a coffee shop and collaborative commons areas on the ground floor, with research and administrative spaces on the upper floors. ÍøÆØÃÅ served as general contractor for the 134,972-SF, four-story building

Binghamton, N.Y., November 5, 2025 – ÍøÆØÃÅ, LLC is pleased to welcome Sam Pomerantz as a senior project manager, based in Binghamton.

In this role, Pomerantz will manage, develop, maintain and oversee all functions of assigned projects at the preconstruction, construction and post-construction phases. Those functions include but are not limited to safety, construction planning and cost-control procedures.

Pomerantz has more than 10 years of experience in construction and project management, working with a variety of other firms prior to joining ÍøÆØÃÅ. In those roles, he delivered numerous commercial, institutional and residential projects for high-profile clients. Pomerantz earned a B.A. in electronic media from The George Washington University and a LEED Green Associate® certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. He has also completed the OSHA 10-hour training course and is actively involved in numerous industry associations.

Three ÍøÆØÃÅ projects have been honored in the (ENR) Regional Best Projects competition.

The Durham Public Schools Murray-Massenburg Elementary School received a 2025 Best Project Award in the K-12 Education category from  The three-story school – comprised of several wings centered around an open courtyard – features a non-conventional layout and various indoor and outdoor learning spaces. It is on track to be the first WELL-certified K-12 elementary school in the state. The project was previously recognized with a 2024 Excellence in Construction Merit Award from the  and a 2025 Build America Merit Award from the .

The United Health Services Wilson Medical Center New Tower & Renovation project received the Best Project Award in the Healthcare category. As the first major upgrade to the campus in more than 30 years, the project added a new 183,000-SF, six-story tower and made 29,000 SF of renovations to the existing hospital. The expansion includes four floors of inpatient medical and surgical units with 30 private rooms each, a new emergency department, an MRI suite, a surgical support area and a rooftop helipad.

The Corning Museum of Glass B Building Studio Expansion project received an Award of Merit in the Cultural/Worship category. The project more than doubled the Studio’s available space for glassmaking programs and popular attractions like Make Your Own Glass. The updated space also houses the first large-scale kiln casting facility in North America, leading-edge glassmaking technologies and an artist-in-residence center. Earlier this year, The Studio was named one of TIME magazine’s World’s Greatest Places to Visit.
