Three ÍøÆØÃÅ projects have been honored in the (ENR) Regional Best Projects competition.
The Durham Public Schools Murray-Massenburg Elementary School received a 2025 Best Project Award in the K-12 Education category from  The three-story school – comprised of several wings centered around an open courtyard – features a non-conventional layout and various indoor and outdoor learning spaces. It is on track to be the first WELL-certified K-12 elementary school in the state. The project was previously recognized with a 2024 Excellence in Construction Merit Award from the and a 2025 Build America Merit Award from the .
The United Health Services Wilson Medical Center New Tower & Renovation project received the Best Project Award in the Healthcare category. As the first major upgrade to the campus in more than 30 years, the project added a new 183,000-SF, six-story tower and made 29,000 SF of renovations to the existing hospital. The expansion includes four floors of inpatient medical and surgical units with 30 private rooms each, a new emergency department, an MRI suite, a surgical support area and a rooftop helipad.
The Corning Museum of Glass B Building Studio Expansion project received an Award of Merit in the Cultural/Worship category. The project more than doubled the Studio’s available space for glassmaking programs and popular attractions like Make Your Own Glass. The updated space also houses the first large-scale kiln casting facility in North America, leading-edge glassmaking technologies and an artist-in-residence center. Earlier this year, The Studio was named one of TIME magazine’s World’s Greatest Places to Visit.
