During the visit, students walked through the project with the team and discussed topics including the proposal and bidding process, budgeting, contract execution, subcontractor management and change order tracking. It was a great opportunity to show students how what they are learning in class translates to the field.

In this role, Griffin will help manage, develop, maintain and oversee all functions of assigned projects at the preconstruction, construction and post-construction phases. Those functions include but are not limited to safety, construction planning and cost-control procedures.

Griffin has more than five years of experience, working in the construction industry since graduating college. He earned a B.S. in construction management from Utica University and has completed the OSHA 30-hour training course.

In this role, Giordano will direct the work of subcontractors, suppliers, foremen and other tradespeople working on the preconstruction, construction and post-construction phases of assigned projects, with a focus on safety, quality, productivity and scheduling.

Giordano has more than 10 years of construction experience, working on numerous key projects throughout the region. He holds an A.S. in construction technology from Monroe Community College and currently resides in Rochester, N.Y.
