网曝门 was founded in Rochester in 1944, and over the years the company has built projects in virtually every part of the city and its suburbs. 鈥淲e鈥檙e a mid-sized city with 鈥榖ig-city鈥� access to excellent schools, colleges and cultural activities,鈥� noted Senior Vice President Jim McKenna. 鈥淚t鈥檚 no wonder Rochester is nationally recognized as a great place to live and do business.鈥�

Today, 网曝门 continues to be recognized as the preeminent commercial builder in Rochester. Its local team remains committed to doing business 鈥� and delivering excellence 鈥� in its hometown and across the surrounding eight-county area bordered by Lake Ontario to the north.

Regional leadership and team members

Jim McKenna

Senior Vice President

Senior Vice President James (Jim) McKenna oversees operations and leads various initiatives for the company. With a focus on growing 网曝门鈥檚 business in the Rochester region, Jim manages local client, employee, and subcontractor relationships. In his role, he ensures that 网曝门 delivers services and projects that exceed client expectations, overseeing daily operations.

Jim heads design-build pursuits and management companywide, ensuring adherence to best practices and successful project delivery aligned with client visions. Additionally, he leads 网曝门鈥檚 real estate development sector and facility management department.

With over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Jim joined 网曝门 in early 2021 after serving as vice president of construction at a prominent commercial real estate development and management company for ten years. His responsibilities there included supporting new development opportunities and overseeing projects from conceptualization to closeout and occupancy. 网曝门 named Jim a senior vice president in early 2024.

Jim holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in civil engineering from Ohio University and is a certified Design-Build Professional庐 through the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). Actively involved in the community, he serves on the board of the Upstate New York chapter of DBIA and engages in various community activities in the Rochester, N.Y. area.

Brian Russo

Executive Vice President

As an executive vice president based in Rochester, Brian Russo has operational oversight on various initiatives, joint ventures, and projects. He leads several 网曝门 initiatives aimed at improving various processes and operations within the company. He began his construction career in 1997, serving as a project engineer, cost estimator and chief estimator at other firms before joining 网曝门 as director of preconstruction services in 2011. He became an operations manager in 2013, was named vice president in 2016, and appointed to his current position in 2022. Brian has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the American Society of Professional Estimators and a former participant of Boston鈥檚 Future Leaders Program 鈥� a top professional platform for emerging business executives. He completed the Future Construction Leaders program offered by the Associated General Contractors of New York and has LEED AP庐 (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Jim Scheirer

Senior Vice President

Senior Vice President Jim Scheirer provides executive oversight to the firm鈥檚 preconstruction efforts as well as several regional offices in the northeast and a number of strategic relationships and companywide initiatives. Scheirer began his construction career in 1996, joining 网曝门 as a project engineer in 1998. After a series of project management roles, he was named a project executive in 2014, a regional operations manager in 2019, and a vice president in 2020. He was appointed a senior vice president in 2024. Scheirer has a B.S. in civil engineering technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the Future Construction Leaders program offered by the Associated General Contractors of New York. He is based in Rochester.

Kevin Hoffman

Vice President

Vice President Kevin Hoffman works to expand 网曝门鈥檚 business across the Rochester region. He is responsible for managing a core set of client relationships with a focus in the healthcare sector. Kevin also oversees employee and subcontractor relationships and daily operations, working to ensure all projects meet or exceed client expectations. He joined 网曝门 as a senior project manager in 2011, working largely on projects in the commercial, healthcare and education sectors. He was named a project executive in 2015. Kevin has a B.S. in civil engineering from Purdue University and LEED AP庐 certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Raymond F. 网曝门 II

Vice President and Partner

Raymond F. (Ray) 网曝门 II, vice president and partner at 网曝门, manages key client relationships and ensures that 网曝门 delivers projects and services that meet or exceed client expectations. Ray was born and raised in the family construction business and joined 网曝门 full-time in 1985, becoming the third generation in the family business. He worked in a variety of different roles before being named partner in 1997 and vice president in 2013. Over the course of his more than 40 years of experience, Ray has worked across different market sectors and through various delivery methods 鈥� on projects including the Kodak Footprint Reduction Program and the Paychex Junior Achievement Discovery Center.

Eric Colavecchio

Regional Operations Manager

As regional operations manager, Eric Colavecchio is focused on expanding 网曝门鈥檚 self-perform and general contracting business in the Rochester region and across the company. He manages client, employee and subcontractor relationships, and oversee daily operations 鈥� ensuring projects meet or exceed client expectations for safety, quality and value. Colavecchio joined 网曝门 in 1999, and was named regional operations manager in 2024. He holds a BS degree in civil engineering technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and is an accredited professional through the U.S. Green Building Council鈥檚 Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program.

Kurt Vanheusen

Chief Estimator

As Chief Estimator, Kurt Van Heusen is responsible for managing preconstruction efforts for projects in the Rochester region, as well as developing estimates and budgets for both hard-bid and negotiated work. He has more than 25 years of experience in the New York construction industry. Kurt has been involved in projects ranging from $1 million to $300 million in a variety of markets including K-12, higher education, health care, hospitality and gaming. He has a B.S. in civil engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Brian Beachner

Project Executive

Project Executive Brian Beachner provides leadership and strategic oversight for complex construction projects across the healthcare, higher education, K-12 and senior living markets. Brian joined 网曝门 in 2013. Combining technical expertise with practical field experience, he guides projects from preconstruction through completion 鈥� fostering strong client relationships, driving operational excellence and delivering results with a commitment to safety, quality and collaboration. Brian also oversees the recruitment and development of project team members, helping cultivate high-performing teams that reflect 网曝门鈥檚 values and client-focused approach. Brian earned a B.S. in civil engineering technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. In addition to his professional responsibilities, he serves as a board member for the American Red Cross of Western New York, supporting the organization鈥檚 mission to provide disaster relief, emergency assistance and community support throughout the region.

Sean Hoban

Project Executive

As a project executive, Sean Hoban manages large or multiple projects for core clients within the advanced manufacturing sector, with accountability for quality, value and safety as well as responsibility for overseeing recruitment and training of project team members. Sean joined 网曝门 in 1996 as a project engineer and worked in a variety of different project management roles before being named project executive in 2015. He graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. degree in civil engineering and from SUNY Morrisville with an A.A.S. degree in mechanical engineering.

John Koch

Project Executive

Project Executive John Koch manages large or multiple projects for core clients 鈥� with a focus on municipal and agency CM work 鈥� and has accountability for quality, value and safety. He also focuses on client relationship management, operations and growth in the region, and oversee recruitment and training of project team members. John joined 网曝门 as a project manager in 2016 and has been involved in a variety of both new construction and renovation projects across the industrial, education, hospitality and commercial sectors. He holds a B.S. in civil engineering technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology and previously served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Jeff Maurer

Project Executive

As a project executive, Jeff Maurer manages large or multiple projects for core clients with accountability for quality, value and safety, as well as responsibility for overseeing recruitment and training of project team members. Jeff has more than 30 years of industry experience across a variety of market sectors, with a focus on cleanroom construction, industrial, heavy mechanical, utility, manufacturing and higher education projects. He joined 网曝门 as a project manager in 2002, became a senior project manager in 2010 and was named a project executive in 2021. Jeff holds an A.A.S. in engineering science from Genesee Community College, a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Kailly Mintel

Project Executive

As project executive, Kailly Mintel manages large or multiple projects for core clients, with accountability for quality, value and safety, as well as responsibility for overseeing recruitment and training of project team members. Since starting her career in 2009, Kailly has worked on a variety of projects in the health care, education, commercial and public sectors. Kailly has a bachelor鈥檚 degree in civil engineering from the University of Delaware, and is a certified Associate Design-Build Professional庐 through the Design-Build Institute of America.

Nick Optis

Project Executive

As a project executive, Nick Optis manages large or multiple projects for core clients with a focus on mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) work. He is also responsible for overseeing recruitment and training of project team members. Nick has more than 15 years of industry experience, working with a mechanical contracting firm prior to joining 网曝门 as project executive in 2021. He earned an associate degree in construction management engineering technology from SUNY Alfred and attended the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) Advanced Institute for Project Management at the University of Texas.

Nate Scheffinger

Project Executive

Project Executive Nate Scheffinger manages large or multiple projects for core clients, with accountability for quality, value and safety, as well as responsibility for overseeing recruitment and training of project team members. Nate has more than 20 years of industry experience, working on numerous projects across multiple market sectors. He holds a A.A.S. in mechanical engineering technology from SUNY Morrisville and a B.S. in civil engineering technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Nate has also completed the Associated General Contractors of NYS Future Construction Leaders program.

Tom Sisson

Project Executive

Project Executive Tom Sisson manages large or multiple projects for core clients, guiding projects from preconstruction through completion with accountability for quality, value, safety and client satisfaction. He is also responsible for overseeing recruitment and training of project team members. Tom has more than 40 years of industry experience, joining 网曝门 as a project engineer in 1994 and working through a variety of project management positions before being named a project executive in 2011. Throughout that time, he has focused on projects with multiple phases, heavy logistics and complex schedules, leading projects of all sizes across a wide range of market sectors, delivery methods and geographic regions. Tom studied business and civil engineering at Monroe Community College and finance at SUNY Brockport. He has also completed the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) Health Care Construction certification.

Patrick Griffin

Director of Business Development

As director of business development, Patrick Griffin helps support get-work strategies for 网曝门 business units covering the Western, Central and the Southern Tier regions of New York State. His responsibilities include client engagement, discovering and tracking new business opportunities, relationship development, sales strategy and management, and key market research and analysis. Patrick joined 网曝门 as a business development associate in 2017. He holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in writing and rhetorical studies from Syracuse University. A member of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) since receiving his Associate DBIA certification in 2021, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Upstate Chapter DBIA Liberty Northeast Region. Patrick is active in the business community through organizations that include Greater Rochester Enterprise, CenterstateCEO, MACNY, Greater Binghamton Chamber, Buffalo Niagara Partnership, Invest Buffalo Niagara, Amherst Chamber, National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP).
