On August 11, ÍøÆØÃÅ Joined in a ribbon cutting to celebrate completion of the Sage Hall Renovation project. ÍøÆØÃÅ Vice President David Hollander and Regional Director of Field Operations Eric Coburn Sr. attended the event alongside members of the project team.

ÍøÆØÃŠ– through its NY Capital Region office – served as the construction manager on the project, which modernized the 58-bed residence hall and community gathering space on the college’s Troy campus.

Four ÍøÆØÃÅ projects have been honored in the ENR Regional Best Projects competition. Held annually by Engineering News-Record, the competition recognizes construction projects across the U.S. – based on geographic region. ÍøÆØÃÅ earned recognition for four New York projects from ENR East:

The Cornell University Computing & Information Science (CIS) building received a Best Project Award in the Higher Education/Research category. The 134,972-SF building with two four-story wings features maker space, builder labs, an active learning classroom, a coffee shop and collaborative commons areas on the ground floor, with research and administrative spaces on the upper floors.

The Oak Hill Country Club Master Plan Renovation & Expansion received a Best Project Award in the Sports/Entertainment category. The 85,000-SF project included 60,000 SF of renovations and a 25,000-SF addition to the existing clubhouse. The upgraded facility features a state-of-the-art ballroom, the Donald Ross Pub, spacious outdoor patios and enhanced dining and event areas.

The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Performing Arts Center project received an Award of Merit in the Cultural/Worship category. The four-story, 50,000-SF facility features a 750-seat theater with two balconies and a restored, historic theater organ. In addition to the main performance hall, the facility includes dedicated rehearsal space, costume and scene shops, office areas, and a variety of public and backstage support spaces.

The Saratoga County Airport New Terminal Building and Jet Hangar received an Award of Merit in the Airport/Transit category. This project involved the construction of a new fixed-base operator terminal building and an adjacent 20,000-SF jet hangar. The new terminal features a spacious lobby, passenger waiting area, rental car counter, pilot lounge, conference room and on-site restaurant.

Over the three-week camp, participants learn hands-on building skills – constructing wooden toolboxes, dodecahedrons, mosaic tile tabletops and more.

Last week, ÍøÆØÃÅ team members from the RochesterÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýNY Capital Region offices participated in their local United Way’s annual volunteer days.

On May 18, employees from the NY Capital Region worked with a team from to participate in ’s annual 518 Day. The group spent the day at , helping clean up and get the farm ready for the warmer months ahead.

In Rochester, more than 30 employees volunteered with as part of ’ Day of Caring on May 21. The team helped tear down an old pool and paint a fence at one of the organization’s residential homes.

To celebrate  – held annually during the first week of May – ÍøÆØÃÅ project teams across all regions hosted safety stand downs, trainings and other events focused on promoting safe work practices.

  • ±õ²ÔÌýRochester,  teams holding stand downs included those working on the CUP Eastman Quad Tunnel, CABIN Research and Occupational Therapy projects.
  • ±õ²ÔÌýBuffalo, the team working on the Northland Corridor Redevelopment project held a stand down and team lunch, with a guest presentation from
  • ±õ²ÔÌýCentral NY, several projects held stand downs throughout the week, including the Upstate Pathology Institute, Rice and Wing Halls, and Hotel projects.
  • °Õ³ó±ðÌýSoutheast team held a stand down focused on fall protection at the Reuben-Cooke project. On the Charlottle-Mecklenburg Schools projects, more than 600 workers celebrated ÍøÆØÃÅ Week by asking “What’s your why?” and sharing why they work safely.
  • In Corning, the team working in the New Gymnasium project celebrated with a safety stand down.
  • °Õ³ó±ðÌý team held stand downs and team lunches at the Three Bridges at Redington, James L. Simmons Apartments and North Gate Landing projects.
  • In the NY Capital Region, teams led stand downs on several projects throughout the week, including the , Bleecker Hall, ECSI, Parking Garage, The Spa Little Theater, Pavilions, and Sage Hall.

These activities reinforced ³¢±ð°ä³ó²¹²õ±ð’s ongoing commitment to safety – ensuring all workers return home safely at the end of each day from every jobsite.
