³¢±ð°ä³ó²¹²õ±ð’s Southeast team recently sponsored and participated in . MED Week celebrates the accomplishments of minority-owned businesses and recognizes companies and financial institutions that support minority business development.

Throughout the week, the team took part in several events. Alongside partners from and – the Tri-Venture currently working on the projects – ÍøÆØÃÅ team members staffed tables at the Business Expo, connecting with local business owners.

They also joined the golf tournament and attended the awards luncheon, where ÍøÆØÃÅ Regional Director of Community Engagement and Inclusion Denise Barnes presented the Outstanding Achievement Award for Professional Services. Both ÍøÆØÃÅ and the Tri-Venture were sponsors of the event.

On September 25, members of ³¢±ð°ä³ó²¹²õ±ð’s Southeast team attended the (CMS) Schoolanthropy Luncheon. The annual event is the district’s largest fundraiser, bringing together community members to support a variety of CMS programs.

ÍøÆØÃÅ is currently serving as program manager for several ongoing construction projects across the district.

³¢±ð°ä³ó²¹²õ±ð’s Southeast office in Durham and the (CMS) project recently received safety awards from the (NCDOL). The NCDOL safety awards program recognizes sites and projects across the state that achieve and maintain exemplary safety records.

This marks the 11th consecutive year the Southeast team has earned this recognition, and the 18th year for the CMS team.

ÍøÆØÃÅ Southeast team members recently attended the inaugural Durham Mayor’s Scholarship Ball on May 31. The company served as a table sponsor for the event, which supports scholarships and essential resources for students pursuing higher education.

The evening held special significance for Denise Barnes whose alma mater, Shaw University, was a co-host of the event. All guests at the ÍøÆØÃÅ table represented institutions that benefit from the impactful work of UNCF.

Throughout October, the ÍøÆØÃÅ Southeast team sponsored and participated in many Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week events across North Carolina. MED Week celebrates the accomplishments of minority-owned businesses and recognizes companies and financial institutions that support minority business development.

The ÍøÆØÃÅ team participated in the following MED Week events.

• In Charlotte, ÍøÆØÃÅ sponsored and had a table at the MED Week Business Connections Expo on October 9.
• ÍøÆØÃÅ sponsored Durham MED Week, and Regional Director of Community Engagement and Inclusion Denise Barnes received the Andrea Harris Legacy Leadership Award. The award recognizes outstanding leadership in Durham and support for the minority business community.
• ÍøÆØÃÅ also sponsored Piedmont Triad MED Week. As part of the week’s events, the ÍøÆØÃÅ team spent a day volunteering with the Welfare Reform Liaison Project, gathering and sorting clothes for those in need.
• ÍøÆØÃÅ sponsored the North Carolina Statewide Celebration and participated in the vendor expo.
