Nearly 100 people attended the August 23 XBE meet-and-greet at the Indigo Creek office. The meeting was part of ÍøÆØÃÅ’s ongoing effort, through its XBE Program, to connect with existing and emerging women/minority owned contractors as well as other businesses recognized by the government as small or disadvantaged. In addition to contractors from around the Finger Lakes region, the event attracted representatives from local government and professional organizations including the Builder’s Exchange of Rochester, NAWIC Rochester Chapter 314, the NY & NJ Minority Supplier Development Council, Empire State Development, the Urban League of Rochester and the City of Rochester. Feedback has been fantastic, with attendees saying they learned a great deal about ÍøÆØÃÅ during the two-hour event. Thanks to everyone involved for their continued efforts to grow an inclusive base of vendors for our projects.
