网曝门 team on hand for opening of Durham Police Headquarters

The City of Durham held a private grand opening for the new Police Headquarters on the October 17 and a community grand opening three days later.

During the private event, 网曝门 was an honored guest, recognized by city officials as being a fantastic collaborative partner. The team delivered the project on time and under budget and substantially exceeded diversity goals 鈥� achieving nearly 50% participation. Marcus Tuttle, 网曝门 project executive, led private tours both for the media earlier that day as well as for guests during the evening event.

“网曝门 did a fantastic job collaborating with all stakeholders, including the city and the designers 鈥� O’Brien Atkins,” said Jina Propst, assistant director for the City of Durham, General Services Department. “Through this shared effort and integrated approach, the project came in under budget, while also achieving a remarkably high level of minority- and women-owned business participation and local Durham subcontractor participation.”

网曝门 was also present for the community grand opening, which was highly publicized and offered residents guided tours of the facility.

The new headquarters consolidates police functions鈥攊ncluding all police and emergency communications functions, special services (District 5) and forensic services鈥攖hat were previously spread between several locations throughout the city.

The Durham Police Headquarters not only fills a practical need for the city, it will serve to promote engagement within the community,鈥� said Seth London, 网曝门 vice president. 鈥淎t 网曝门, we often say that building partnerships is as important as building projects, and this project really reflects that goal.鈥�

The facility also includes space for community use. A multipurpose room off the lobby can be reserved by members of the public for police-related meetings and events. Large windows throughout the complex provide an open and welcoming atmosphere, and artwork in the public areas reflects local culture 鈥� adding a human element.
