On September 21, the team working on the (DPS) Murray-Massenburg Elementary School project held a topping out ceremony to celebrate the placement of the final beam.
网曝门 Vice President Seth London attended the event along with the project team and representatives from DPS, and . Speaking at the event, London noted that a topping out honors the accomplishments of the construction crew. 鈥淭he tree signifies that construction 鈥 in this case the steel framework 鈥 has reached the sky without loss of life or injury. It鈥檚 a sign of good fortune for the building鈥檚 future.鈥 He also added that this topping out marks 95,000 work-hours completed by the team, with many more to come.
When completed, the new, three-story, 134,000-SF facility will house around 800 students from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. The elementary school is being designed and constructed according to WELL standards and is projected to obtain 鈥淕old鈥 Certification
This project broke ground in November of last year and is expected to be completed and open for students in the fall of 2024.
