University of Rochester | Cooling Tower and Chiller Electrification
This project involves the replacement of the existing cooling towers at the University of Rochester’s Central Utility Plant, and the installation of a new electric chiller. These upgrades will increase the plant’s heat-rejection capacity while helping the university transition away from steam-driven chillers and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Additionally, the scope includes improvements to adjacent spaces and upgrades to the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems that support the new cooling tower and chiller. ÍøÆØÃÅ is also self-performing the project’s concrete and masonry scope.
