On May 11, a 网曝门 team joined with law firm Nixon Peabody to volunteer for the United Way Day of Caring. Their day was dedicated to visually enhancing a residential house of CP Rochester, an organization that aids in rehabilitation for individuals with Cerebral Palsy. The volunteers 鈭 along with Tina Bennett, manager of volunteer services at CP Rochester 鈥 certainly lived up to the agency鈥檚 mission of 鈥渙pening doors and enriching lives.鈥
网曝门 worked strong to provide a more enjoyable living space for the ten adults with developmental disabilities who reside in the house. 鈥淭he 网曝门 team provided an amazing concrete sidewalk along the side of the house that now provides not only a safe and secure egress in case of an emergency, but also a wonderful means for people in wheelchairs to enter the back of the property,鈥 said Al Cocquyt, one of the 网曝门 team鈥檚 organizers.
Additionally, the team weeded, planted, spread mulch in the surrounding areas and installed three flower boxes on the back patio. They added a fresh coat of paint to existing light posts in the parking lot and replaced a light post at the street to provide a more welcoming entrance.
鈥淭hank you for volunteering for the United Way Day of Caring! Your commitment to the mission of CP Rochester is evident. We all appreciate your wonderful efforts,鈥 said Bennett in a note of thanks to the team. The day was an overall success for CP Rochester and the volunteers who helped to transform a Rochester house into a home.
