Rochester, NY, June 3, 2014 鈥 网曝门, LLC is pleased to announce that the University at Albany鈥檚 Liberty Terrace residence hall has been certified Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED庐) Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). LEED is the nation鈥檚 preeminent program for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.

Amenities for each apartment include four single bedrooms, two bathrooms, a shared kitchen and living room. The residence hall also features a central mail area, exercise space and gathering areas.
鈥淲ith each new LEED-certified building, we get one step closer to USGBC鈥檚 vision of a sustainable-built environment within a generation,鈥 said Rick Fedrizzi, president, CEO and founding chair, U.S. Green Building Council. 鈥淎s the newest member of the LEED family of green buildings, SUNY Albany鈥檚 Liberty Terrace residence hall is an important addition to the growing strength of the green building movement.鈥
Liberty Terrace achieved LEED certification for energy use, lighting, water and material use, as well as incorporating a variety of other sustainable strategies. By using less energy and water, LEED-certified building saves money for families, businesses and taxpayers; reduces greenhouse gas emissions; and contributes to a healthier environment for residents, workers and the larger community.
