The Parkstone at Knightdale project recently started concrete work with a sunrise pour. Parkstone is a 350-unit apartment complex being built on 20 acres in Knightdale, NC. Taken by drone, the photo below shows one of four 鈥渟ections鈥� of the site, which is being built in phases. A project of this size will have 20 pours like this one, requiring more than 10,000 cubic yards of concrete. In layman鈥檚 terms, that鈥檚 enough to fill more than three Olympic-sized swimming pools.
Concrete pours are typically started in the early morning due to the time required and the need to control factors such as temperature and sun that can affect the quality and finish of the concrete.
Of course, working during darkness adds a level of safety concern, so the team pre-planned the activity and reviewed it in advance with Regional 网曝门 Manager Glenn Turner. The team also made sure to follow all local ordinances regarding noise or other disruption, as 网曝门 always strives to be a 鈥済ood neighbor鈥� to those around its jobsites.
The Parkstone project is due to be completed in summer/fall of 2019.
