Two airport renovations hold ribbon cuttings

网曝门 project teams were on hand at recent celebrations for completed airport renovations in Rochester and Syracuse. At both events, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was among state and local officials who participated in ribbon cutting ceremonies to commemorate the milestones.

Renovations at the Greater Rochester International Airport, including a canopy covering the roadway for departing passengers, were unveiled October 31. Other upgrades include a new security checkpoint and the first U.S. use of a new facial recognition and object-left-behind detection technology. The facility also has play areas created in partnership with the Strong Museum and a new market聽that offers聽鈥渢aste of Rochester鈥� options. More than 60 contractors worked on the renovations and about 1,300 tons of steel were used over the course of the project.

On November 1, the celebration moved to Syracuse Hancock International Airport. The 网曝门 Binghamton office handled those renovations, which include a new 14,500-SF terminal, pedestrian bridges, modernization of ticketing and baggage services and a new glass exterior fa莽ade designed to allow natural light into the building. The renovations were completed on time and on budget.
